Project factor module settings
Introduction
You set up your project factor in the System administration -> Reports -> Project factor settings.
Description
The project factor shows you the correlation between your revenue and expenses on a project and can thereby show you how profitable your project is.
On the top of the page, you can activate or deactivate the functionality.
You can select between several calculation models, which give you different results on the project factor. We recommend that you select one method and stick to it, so you can compare your projects. If you at some point change calculation method, please remember that it influences all projects in TimeLog, even the completed projects.
The project factor is indicated with colours on the projects. At the bottom of the setup page, you enter which value you want on your projects next to the green dot. Next to the yellow dot, you enter what you consider acceptable, and the red dot will automatically change to show the results that are lower than the yellow area. The colour is based on the calculation model you have selected above.
Special remarks
The project factor is good for you who as a project manager would like to see the contribution ratio on your projects. At the same time, it provides the manager with an overall picture of if your business is profitable or if you need to make adjustments.
Please give it a thumbs up or down.
