Install and set up the TimeLog Tracker for Outlook

This is guide 2 on how to set up Outlook integration on your TimeLog Site.

This guide will show you how to activate and use the TimeLog for Outlook integration. It’s part of a three-stage guide designed to help you get fully set up and ready to use the Outlook add-in:

Description

Before you begin: This guide requires that your IT department has completed the technical setup. You can find the setup instructions here.

 Installing the Outlook Add-in

  1. Close Outlook on your machine.
  2. Go to https://outlook.office.com/.
  3. Click the "More apps" icon in the action bar (last icon).
  4. In the panel that opens, click the "Add apps" button.

  5. In the Apps panel, search for TimeLog.
  6. Click "TimeLog for Outlook" in the search results.
  7. In the modal that opens, click "Add" to install and activate the add-in.

Since it’s your first time, you’ll be prompted to sign in to TimeLog.
Click Next to begin the login flow.

 

Using the Add-in for the First Time

  1. Open your Outlook calendar and select a meeting.
  2. If using the simplified ribbon, click the three dots to find TimeLog for Outlook.
  3. If using the classic ribbon, you’ll see it directly in the ribbon.
  4. Click the "TimeLog for Outlook" button.

  5. Since it’s your first time, you’ll be prompted to sign in to TimeLog.
  6. Click Next to begin the login flow.

  7. Click Allow to open a new window and start the login process.

  8. Follow the login steps (same as other TimeLog apps).
  9. After logging in, TimeLog will ask for permission to connect the add-in to your account.
  10. Click "Allow the app to access my data".

Your Outlook calendar is now connected to your TimeLog account, and the integration is ready to use.
