Employee rights overview
Within System Administration, you can get an overview of your employees' roles and how they are distributed.
You can get an overview of your employees' roles and how they are distributed by accessing System Administration -> Employees -> User rights overview.
Filter
In the filter at the top, you can select which Department you would like to see if you make use of the department structure. If not, all employees are shown.
View options
You have three view options in your role overview:
- Links between roles and employees, which are good to show which roles your employees have
- Links between roles and areas/pages, which is good to use, if you want to see which areas and pages in TimeLog your employees have access to
- Links between employees and user rights which shows an overview of all the rights linked to your employees
Your search result is shown below and provides a detailed overview of what your employees have access to depending on your selection in the View options.

You do that by following the below steps:
- Mark the headline Links between user roles and employees and right-click your mouse Then select Inspect
- Right-click Rolelist and select Edit as HTML
- Place the cursor in the box that appears and press CTRL+A on your keyboard to mark the text, and then CTRL+C to copy it
- Open an empty Notepad and press CTRL+V on your keyboard to paste the text in
- Press CTRL+H to search and replace class="icon-status small-icon status-green"> with class="icon-status small-icon status-green">1
- Press CTRL+H again to search and replace class="icon-status small-icon status-red"> with class="icon-status small-icon status-red">0
- Thereafter you press CTRL+A on your keyboard to mark all the text, and then CTRL+C to copy it
- Open a new Excel sheet and press CTRL+V on your keyboard to import the information
